appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis, James Satcher will ensure:
Ensure voter registration databases are up-to-date, accurate and free from duplicate or deceased Individuals. Implement regular audits and cross-reference data with a wide range of databases to maintain accuracy.
Maintain transparency in all election process from counting votes to voter registration. Position non-partisan observers to monitor polling places and counting centres to prevent fraud.
Implement strict chain of custody procedures for all ballots and official election materials. Implement policies that ensure ballots are securely transported and stored.
Enforce voter identification laws to prevent impersonation and fraud at the polls.
Use secure tamper-proof voting systems, including paper ballots or and/or electronic voting machines with voter- verified paper audit trails.
Protect election infrastructure from cyber threats by using robust cyber security protocols, regularly updating software and conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
Provide comprehensive training for election and poll workers on the latest procedures, security measures, to ensure workers are equipped to handle issues that arise during the election.
Foster public confidence in the electoral process by educating voters about the integrity measures in place, how votes are counted, and how to report irregularities or concerns.
Conduct independent, post-election audits to verify the accuracy of election results. Implement risk-limiting audits to ensure that the outcome is correct and to identify any discrepancies.
Establish and enforce a strong legal framework that addresses election fraud, intimidation, and other violations. Ensure that laws are clear, fair, and consistently applied with strict penalties for misconduct.
